In the quarter-finals of the Duggie Morris Cup, Lawrenny won by eight wickets at home to Pembroke Dock.

Fourth Division Pembroke Dock were restricted to a total of 66 for 7 as James Buckle took 3 for 7 and Lawrenny skipper Robert Williams took 2 for 2.

First Division Lawrenny scored 67 for 2 in reply following an opening stand of 58 between Andrew Cole Senior and Adrian Harries. Following their departure, Steven Lewis and Simon Cole knocked off the winning runs.

Andrew Cole Senior scored a hard hitting 34 with four 4s and a six, while Harries supported with 17.

For the Dock, Nicky Daley took 2 for 13.

Llangwm won by four wickets at Hook after Hook scored 107 for 6. Keith James was the pick of the batsmen with 34, including four 4s, backed up by Matthew Rowlands, who chipped in with 21.

Andrew Brock took 2 for 14 in his four overs for the visitors.

In an exciting finish, Llangwm skipper Darren Brick hit a six off Christopher Holder to win the match in the last over, with one ball remaining, after a lightning innings of 55 from just 34 balls by Henry Thomas.

Llangwm recovered from being 6 for 2, with Thomas taking the bowlers by the scruff of the neck. He found the boundary six times and cleared it on three occasions.

He received invaluable support from Gary Phillips with 27 before the last over heroics from Darren Brick who ended on 11 not out.

Keith James had an excellent all-round game for Hook and finished with figures of 3 for 18.

On the night, Hook missed the services of their most consistent bowler, Wayne Griffiths, who was unable to play through illness.
