After almost 15 years, duck racing and many other family fun activities will be revived on Freshwater East Beach from 4-7 pm on Friday, August 8, and Friday, August 15. All proceeds will be going to two important, local charities being the Welsh Air Ambulance and Paul Sartori Foundation. The main organisers are twins Sarah and Gemma Colley, Gemma Colley, Val Lloyd, Peter Bowling and other members of Freshwater East's community. The duck races will take place on the stream running to the beach. There will be a barbecue, sandcastle competition, face painting, a raffle with great prizes and stalls by Paul Sartori and the Welsh Air Ambulance, along with numerous other fun activities for the whole family. Many local businesses are giving their support by offering winning prizes for each duck race and the organisers are hoping for a large local attendance to raise money for these two worthy charities. Anyone is welcome and any volunteers that would like to help in any way will be welcome. For further information, contact Peter Bowling on (01646) 672295.
