A series of 'drop-in' sessions have been held recently for local residents to have their say on savings which Pembrokeshire County Council will have to make in the light of Government spending cuts.
Cabinet members have held sessions in Fishguard, Milford Haven, Pembroke Dock, Haverfordwest, Tenby, St. Davids, Crymych and Narberth.
Clr. Keith Lewis, cabinet member for communities and the voluntary sector, has helped to lead many of the sessions.
He said that they had proved 'extremely valuable' in helping to understand local people's views on services and to gauge their opinions.
With this in mind, an additional session has been arranged at Neyland Library and Customer Service Centre on Thursday, November 13.
The session will run from 4-6 pm, on a drop-in basis, so no appointments are necessary.
It will be led by Clr. Keith Lewis and Clr. Simon Hancock.
Pembrokeshire County Council has already seen a drop in its Welsh Government Grant of 4.2 per cent for the 2014/15 financial year.
Further funding cuts of between 1.5 and 4.5 per cent are now earmarked for 2015/16 and beyond.
The authority has already developed a cost reduction plan designed to save £20 million over a two-year period, in response to the original cuts.
However, the further reduction in Government grant now means that the council has to find a further £5 million in savings, making a total of £25 million in all.
