Witnesses are being sought to an accident at Red Roses on Monday in which a driver died.

The accident, involving two cars, a Vauxhall Astra and a Citroen Xsara, occurred on the A477 shortly after 5 pm.

The 34-year-old man who died was from the Tumble area and was driving the Astra.

The occupants of the Citroen, a man, woman and three-year-old child from Pembroke Dock, were taken to Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen. The two adults, both aged 29, suffered bruising and some fractures and were detained, while the boy sustained slighter injuries.

Firefighters from Whitland, together with the brigade's emergency tenders from Haverfordwest and Carmarthen, attended the scene.
