A notorious accident blackspot on the A477 has claimed yet another life. Twenty-one-year-old Christian John Culley, of Pembroke Dock, died on Tuesday morning after the car in which he was travelling was in collision with a telegraph pole between Red Roses and Llanddowror. Police, the ambulance service and fire appliances from Whitland and Carmarthen attended the accident, which occurred at approximately 4.35 am. The road was closed for several hours and traffic had to be diverted. "The vehicle, a silver Ford Fiesta, had travelled from Pembroke, along the A477 towards St. Clears when the collision occurred," said a police spokesman. Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to contact Carmarthen police station on 01267 232000.
