Sir, Recent correspondence and comment in your newspaper concerning the run-down appearance of certain properties on the Norton, and the consequent detrimental effect on the approaches to our town has been noted. I am amazed that there has been no similar comment and correspondence on the dreadful eyesore that has existed for many months (certainly in excess of a year) on the other approach road. An ancient wall has been partially demolished at Deer Park, and its ugly gaping wounds and resulting rubble cry out for remedy. Further, this wall dates back to at least the mid 1600s, having, I believe, formed part of the curtain defences of the town in the Civil War. Two archways are still visible, a third sadly having been destroyed - the perpetrator would have been a welcome recruit to Cromwell's 'New Model Army'! I wonder why there has been no protest or comment from the Friends of Tenby, the Civic Society or like organisation. I have sent a copy of this letter to the chief officer of the National Park Authority in the hope that he will provide chapter and verse on this matter.

Concerned Tenby lover.
