Last week, the Dragon Rifle Club played host to the Jeffreyston Inn friends for the first time. An enjoyable evening was had by both teams and the Dragons hope to see their opponents again next year. The total scores for the teams were: Dragons 939.2, Jeffreyston Inn friends 849.9. Top shots for the Dragons were: 1. Sam Spiers - 99.5; 2. Colin Spiers and Julie Phillips - 98.4; 3. Martin Paynter - 97.3. Top shots for the Jeffreyston Inn friends were: 1. Georgina Bowler - 90.1; 2. Gerald Beynon - 89; 3. Malcolm Tucker - 88.1. The total scores for the juniors were Dragons 352.6, Jeffreyston Inn friends juniors 278. Top shots for the Dragons were: 1. Richard Paynter - 99.5; 2. Oliver Hovey - 97.1; 3. Daniel - 84. Top shots for the Jeffreyston Inn friends were: 1. Sam Harts - 82; 2. James Dunn - 74; 3. George Dunn - 60. Well done to everyone, especially Richard Paynter, junior, who levelled scores with an adult shot and beat his father, and to Sam Spiers on beating his father in the adults competition. Well done.
