A NEW book on the history of one of Pembrokeshire's most characterful villages was launched last week. 'Down the Quay' by Robert Scourfield (seen left) and Keith Johnson (right) tells the story of the former coal-exporting harbour of Cresswell Quay. Fully illustrated with archive photographs and rarely seen 19th century watercolour paintings, the book brings to life the history of this fascinating riverside community. The launch - held naturally enough at the Cresselly Arms - attracted past and present residents of 'The Quay' and the two authors are pictured at the launch. 'Down the Quay' costs £10 and can be obtained from the Cresselly Arms and local bookshops, or from the author direct on 01646 651286.
