Cresselly completed the cup and league double following a comfortable win over Fishguard Seconds in the final of the Alec Colley Cup.

The match, scheduled to be played at Pembroke, but moved to Cresselly due to the sorry weather of late, proved to be a walk in the park for Richard Arthur's men as the gap between the Third and Sixth Division teams told.

Fishguard, playing in their first ever senior cup final, batted first and could only muster 68-6, with Kevin Bowen scoring 18 and Sam Kurtz 15 not out, as Sam Harts took 3-26 and Matthew Lewis 2-8.

In reply, Cresselly smashed the bowling to all parts of the ground, hitting 178-2, with Andrew Harries unbeaten on 87 with four maximums and six 4s, while Nick Davies struck 71 with four 6s and six 4s in a partnership of 137, after Scott Arthur departed for a duck.

Fishguard made a better fist of it in the second innings, hitting 138-3, with Bowen looking the part in an exceptional innings of 92 not out, with six 6s and six 4s, and he shared a partnership of 114 with Chris George, who hit 28.

Cresselly only needed 29 to win and they reached this for the loss of no wickets, as man-of-the-match Andrew Harris remained unbeaten on 20.
