KILGETTY U11s 0 HUNDLETON U11s 5

Although Hundleton were the better team on the day, the scoreline could easily have been different if Kilgetty had had a bit more luck.

The game started evenly with the play from from end to end. Hundleton had the best opportunities of the early stages, and Ryan Howells was called upon to make some fine saves.

At the other end, Callum Proctor and Jake Marsh both hit the post, while Alan Townsend and Rhys Bevan worked hard to contain the Hundleton midfield.

Hundleton pulled ahead just before half-time when a fine run from the midfield got in behind the Kilgetty defence and despite tremendous efforts from Chris Watkins he could not prevent the goal.

Kilgetty started well in the second half and almost got on level terms. When Andrew Evans launched the ball from almost halfway, the 'keeper misjudged its flight, but was saved by the post.

Grant Watkins, Mathew Smith and Ben had to increase their workload as Hundleton started to press, but it was not until after the visitors scored their second goal that Kilgetty finally yielded and Hundleton scored a further three goals in the dying minutes.

Kilgetty fielded: Ryan Howells, Ben, Andrew Evans, Chris Watkins, Alan Townsend, Callum Proctor, Rhys Bevan, Jake Marsh, Grant Watkins, Mathew Smith.

KILGETTY 2NDS 2

ANGLE 2NDS 0

Kilgetty made hard work of a game they should have won with ease as Angle were only able to field nine players.

Angle, to their credit, fought and battled hard throughout the game. Kilgetty, as expected, had most of the play, but did not use the ball effectively and squandered numerous chances, and when one-on-one with the 'keeper, the 'keeper was able to pull of some fine saves.

Angle worked hard, and the long ball over the top gave them a couple of chances to take the lead, but as the referee blew for half-time the score remained at 0-0.

During the second half, Angle still managed to contain Kilgetty, much to there frustration,

Kilgetty then made three quick substitutions in the hope of a change in fortune; this was the case as Kilgetty went down to 10 men as Tom Dennis had to retire injured with 20 minutes left.

It looked like Kilgetty were going to have one of those very bad days at the office.

But when Dan Wright twisted his way into the box and was able to get a shot away, somehow the ball found its way through a crowd of players, and with the 'keeper unsighted, it found the back of the net.

In a last ditch effort, Angle pushed players forward, but were caught on the break, with Jamie Morgan getting the rub of the green as he rounded the 'keeper to place the ball into an empty net.

Angle can hold the heads high for the way they conducted themselves under such difficult circumstances. We would like to wish them good luck for the remainder of the season.
