Dyfed Powys Police are supporting the national white ribbon day on November 25 which aims to end domestic abuse.

The force has specially trained officers to deal with domestic abuse and urges victims not to suffer in silence.

Detective Inspector Owain Richards said: "We are using the white ribbon day to highlight the issue of domestic abuse and reassure victims to come forward to seek help and support.

"We also want to send a message to offenders that if they commit domestic abuse they will be arrested.

"Domestic abuse covers a wide spectrum and doesn't have to include violence. If anyone feels they are the victim of abuse or if you are worried about a friend or family member, please call the Wales Domestic Abuse helpline on 0808 80 10 8000."
