A warning was issued to motorists by Tenby's police inspector this week, to be aware of the implications of drinking and driving.

After three motorists were arrested by police on Sunday for allegedly providing positive breath tests, Inspector Les Clark said that a conviction for drinking and driving equals a disqualification which very often results in unemployment.

"It really is ridiculous that in this day and age people are still drinking and driving," he said.

The three people arrested were subsequently charged and have been bailed to appear in court at a later date.
