Tenby Youth Council were given a boost by local councillors this week with a donation towards a project that aims to reduce anti-social behaviour.
The 'Pit-stop Fridays' project, which will see the Youth Centre in Greenhill Avenue open to under 14s between the hours of 6 and 8.30 pm, and then to over 14s from 8.30 to 10 pm, will run a mixture of sessions such as silent discos, graffiti projects, whistle parties and health nights.
Correspondence that came before town councillors at their meeting on Tuesday night, explained that a similar project at the Youth Centre was run previously with help from local PCSOs to great success, winning an award for Wales.
Clr. Mrs. Kerri Durham said that this latest project should be encouraged, while the Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, proposed that the town council donate £100 towards the cause, with her fellow members agreeing.
