Newcomer Adam Gwyn Jones showed he is no rookie by claiming a dominant debut victory at the second round of the 2011 Pembrokeshire Karting Championship.

With rainfall increasing throughout the event, drivers were forced to adapt their driving style to contend with a whole new dimension of racing, which caused numerous driver errors.

Despite coming second, Jason Cole maintains his lead in the standings. Adam Richard Jones came third. A. G Jones was joined by Kieran Davies, Jake Roberts, Franco Ferri and Byron Davies who all staked a claim to be Business Finance Wales Rookie of the Year.

With a damp track, no-one was able to produce a laptime to top the Smith & Jones Electrical Fastest Lap Challenge leaderboard, despite Karl Hughes setting the quickest time of the day.

With everyone still in with a chance to win the title, who knows what will occur in the next event, scheduled for July 24 at the Carew Karting Racetrack. If you are interested in participating, sign up at http://www.pembrokeshirekarting.co.uk">www.pembrokeshirekarting.co.uk
