A local dog friendly B&B has just served up its warmest canine welcome ever.

Angela and Roger Woods hosted seven dogs under the roof of their guest house near Saundersfoot.

The magnificent seven were all Italian Spinones, a sociable, gentle, bearded and slobbery breed, which was recently out in force in Pembrokshire.

Owners and more than 60 Spinones came from all over UK for a get-together in Llandissilio which raised more than £1,00 for the breed's re-homing organisation.

Activities included a barbecue with sausages and home baked liver cake for the dogs.

There was also an agility course to work off the calories.

And the three couples and their seven dogs who stayed with Angela and Roger at Moreton House were delighted to find that even the couple's horses, goats and two collies were pleased to see them.

"A lot of places will only take one dog, so this is wonderful," said Pip Finch from Gloucester, owner of Humphrey and puppy Phoebe.

"It's been thoroughly enjoyable and totally relaxing and the dogs had such a marvellous time."

The Woods' have had all types of dogs, from chihuhuas to great Danes, staying with them in recent years, but never seven at one time.

"It's been a memorable weekend, and at least the dogs were well-behaved!" said Angela.
