Sir,

We come and stay at Penally because we can enjoy a beach holiday with our children and dogs. We can't stay in Tenby or Saundersfoot because dogs are banned from all the beaches there.

If Carey D'Arcy succeeds in his aim of getting dogs banned from Penally beach as well, we (and the thousands of other holidaymakers who have dogs) will be forced to take our holidays elsewhere.

The area will lose out on the income which we bring and we will be unable to come to a place we love.

We read the 'Observer' regularly and feel very annoyed when people criticise and interfere with perfectly good local arrangements. Well we're not going to, we love it here! Keep up the good work everyone.

G., V., A. and N. Widdowson,

Cumbria,

(Staying at Penally).
