Sir,

I find it very interesting reading the various stories about speed cameras around the country.

I live in Park Road, Tenby, officially classified a major route for goods traffic and buses. At certain points there is only a footpath on opposite sides of the road, so pedestrians, often schoolchildren, have to cross it.

I have requested a speed camera to help reduce the speed of some vehicles, especially motorbikes, but I am told the problem has to be eight or more accidents within a 50-metre radius within three years. It would be interesting to know if this applies to small town like Tenby?

Does this mean somebody has to get killed before anything is done?
