There's a rocking birthday party at the RAOB Club in Kilgetty on Friday, October 1.

It's the second anniversary of the Pembrokeshire Rock 'n' Roll Club (formerly of the De Valence) which now attracts about 50 dancers every first Friday of each month.

There'll be a cake to mark the occasion and new members are more than welcome to come along.

Enjoy instruction from Bopping Brian. And hopefully Patrick will be there to give lessons in the Charleston Jive and other forms of this lively dance, where having a partner is not necessary.

Admission is just £3 and the fun starts at 8 pm until 11.

Brian said: "This is a wonderful way to meet people and to dance the night away. Anyone who can't yet rock 'n' roll will find it very easy to learn the basic steps.

"Some people also find that it helps to lose the pounds, without going in for more boring forms of exercise."

But if you don't want to dance, just sit back with a drink and enjoy '50s and '60s music given new life through a state of the art sound system.

Most people don't dress up, though anyone wearing rock 'n' roll gear adds to the friendly atmosphere.

The club hopes to put on a live rock 'n' roll combo for the December dance. So your support on Friday, October 1, would help to make this possible.
