Sir, I would like to bring to the attention of your readers the opportunity of sailing on a tall ship from Cardiff and Barry in August or September this year. The Jubilee Sailing Trust's two tall ships, the Lord Nelson and Tenacious, are fully accessible (there are eight berths for wheelchair users on each ship) and are the only ones in the world which enable both physically disabled and able-bodied people to sail together as the working crew on a tall ship. For the 40 people on each week-long voyage it is a very special experience - it combines challenge, adventure, teamworking and the opportunity to learn more about yourself and the ability of others, and is also fun. The Jubilee Sailing Trust is a registered charity whose aim is the integration of able-bodied and physically disabled people through sailing a tall ship together. We welcome on board people of ALL ages from 16 upwards - absolutely no experience is necessary - all that is needed is a spirit of adventure and and a willingness to join in!
