Staying stylish while travelling through Pembrokeshire on two wheels on Sunday was the challenge for a convoy of sartorially-elegant motorcyclists.

More than 40 riders, whose transport ranged from Harley-Davidsons to scooters, took park in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, a world-wide event which is raising money and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.

They were amongst 50,000 riders taking part in 500 venues in more than 90 countries across the globe, with the aim of raising 5m dollars.

The Pembrokeshire riders, who have raised more than £4,700, made a spectacular sight as they left Saundersfoot harbour car park on Sunday morning.

The dapper convoy, featuring ladies as well as gentlemen, were suitably suited and booted for the event, with one rider even complementing his Harley-Davidson with a kilt!

“The response to the ride this year has been phenomenal,” said its Pembrokeshire organiser,” Steven Dean.

“There were more than three times as many riders as last year, and the effort they put into raising funds for the event shows what a good spirit there is in Pembrokeshire.”
