At last, world-class pace bowling coaching is available on your doorstep. MCI (Mavericks Cricket Institute) is holding a pace bowling workshop in Tenby. And the great news is its personally run by international coach, Ian Pont, author of the Fast Bowler's Bible.

It will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 1-6 pm at Tenby Leisure Centre.

Medium/fast bowlers who are keen to learn the drills and techniques to bowl faster and straighter are invited to attend.

They will be taught the unique ABSAT (Advanced Biomechanics Speed and Accuracy) methods taught by Ian, which clearly demonstrate how their action works, where to make improvements and importantly how to make those changes.

Pace bowlers will learn and understand the ABSAT methods of bowling faster, bowling straighter, accessing power in the body, understanding what works and what doesn't, finding the elusive 'timing' of the bowing action, plus how to bowl yorkers, bouncers, swing, seam, and variations, including the world's best slower ball - The SLOB.

What's more, they will also get the chance to bowl against the MCI Speed Gun. So they can find out for themselves just how fast they really bowl!

Ian Pont is one of the most-respected technical fast bowling coaches in the world today, having worked with Darren Gough, Dale Steyn, Andre Nel, Andre Adams, Alex Tudor plus many others. He was at the 2003 and 2007 ICC World Cups and is now helping fast bowlers of all ages and levels improve dramatically. He works as a technical bowling coach with many counties and overseas and has worked as national and regional skill sets lead bowling coach for the ECB.
