The Rotary Clubs of Tenby and Saundersfoot recently held a celebratory dinner at the Royal Lion Hotel, Tenby, for the Tenderfoot teams following their success at the Welsh Disabled Sports Team Championships in Newport where they retained the Winner's Trophy for the third successive year.

Team managers, Rotarians Charles Hopkinson and Brian Waters, congratulated both teams who took part in the competition, in particular the first places gained by the table tennis and New Age curling teams and second places for the pool and weightlifting teams.

Special thanks were recorded to Rotarians from Tenby, Saundersfoot, Narberth and Whitland and Haverfordwest, who assisted with the transport during the 10 weeks of training and during the weekend of the championships.

The evening was capped off by the presentation of the Winners Shield to James Dash, captain of the Tenderfoot Team; this year's win being dedicated to Rotarian Clifton John, who passed away earlier in the year.
