CELEBRATING their diamond wedding anniversary next Thursday are Pentlepoir couple, Clifford and Jessie Thomas, of Cherry Trees, Green Park. The couple (pictured), who both hail from the Martletwy area, were married at Bethel, Loveston, on February 2, 1946. They have a daughter Anne, who is married to Hywel and lives in Essex, and two grandchildren Rhys and Rebecca, who will be joining them for the special celebrations. Sadly, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas lost their son Trevor in 1967 at the age of 15. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas will be pleased to see any friends, relatives or neighbours next Thursday who would like to join them for a drink and a piece of cake during the day. They also ask for no presents.
