Following an horrific road accident at Llanteg last Thursday afternoon (June 14), an elderly couple sadly died during the early hours of Friday as a result of their injuries after being airlifted to Swansea's Morriston Hospital. Eighty-nine-year-old George Edwin Dunn, who was driving a silver Skoda Fabia, and his wife 91-year- old Phyllis Dunn, were travelling with their eldest son Michael to stay near Tenby. The couple, from Solihull in Birmingham, were re- visiting the Pembrokeshire area where they had honeymooned nearly 70 years ago and over the years were regular visitors to the Giltar Grove guesthouse in Penally. Their son suffered minor injuries in the crash, which occurred shortly before 5 pm, and was treated at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen. One woman, who was a passenger in the other car, a blue Rover 45, was airlifted to Morriston Hospital, where she was reported to be in a serious, but stable condition. The other two occupants received less serious injuries; one remains in hospital and the other was treated and then released. The third vehicle involved was a heavy goods vehicle which was not damaged in any way. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Huw Evans at Haverfordwest traffic department on 0845 330 2000.
