From the start, Narberth were determined to prove that they could finally beat a strong Pembroke side.

The visitors got off to the best possible start when the forwards, ably marshalled by Tom Cummings, drove the visitors well into their 22, allowing Matthew 'Snowy' John, the scrum-half, to drive over near the posts. Lloyd Phillips converted.

Although fiercely repelling the continuous drive from the visitors, Pembroke finally succumbed to a second try from Jonathan Davies.

The home team seemed unable to match the pace and skill of both centres and wings, Lloyd Phillips, Jonathan Davies, Leon Mattias, Rob Llewellyn and James Wilson.

At half-time Narberth were 12 points ahead.

The second period started with two further tries from Lloyd Phillips and Jonathon Davies.

Narberth also crossed the line on two other occasions, only to see the tries disallowed.

Pembroke had no answer to the relentless drive from the forwards nor the flair of the back row, until the last 10 minutes when they rallied to score two tries in quick succession.

However, it was not to be their day as Stephen Jones charged down the final conversion.

Both teams competed fiercely until the final whistle ,with Narberth being deserved winners.
