Tenby's round the world adventurer Rosie Swale Popehas been given a desk from the town's T. P. Hughes.
"It's the most beautiful gift any writer could wish to have," said a delighted Rosie.
"I am really grateful to the charming people at T. P. Hughes who gave me this.
"Together with them and Webb Computers, who have sponsored me a printer, they have really set me up for writing my book."
Rosie, who celebrated her 62nd birthday last week, returned home at the end of August after successfully completing a gruelling 20,000-mile solo global charity run on foot.
She is now busy writing about her five-year adventure in her book which will be published by Harper Collins.
Added Rosie: "Receiving a lovely desk has really given me a fantastic boost and it just shows what a wonderfully kind community we live in."
