A local design company has been nominated for the 'Best of British Design Award' by Elle Decoration Magazine.

Earlier this year, Freshwest Design in Tenby, a business established in 2005 by Marcus Beck and Simon Macro, launched the 'Brave New World Lamp' with the Dutch company Moooi in Milan, and have since received great press from the likes of The New York Times and Milan Design Festival.

The Far Eastern inspired lamp was developed without a design or plan in place. However, each piece of wood has been carefully notched together to form an integral part of the overall unique, mechanical structure.
