Sixth Form students Simon Donovan and Aled Thomas from Dyffryn Taf School, Whitland, won the prestigious Ford design award at the Welsh Regional Final of the Young Engineers for Britain competition. Working with Magstim, a hi-tech medical electronics company based in Whitland, the students designed a three-dimensional plotting device. The Young Engineers club meets in the Design Technology department every Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtime to work on various products.
