Pembrokeshire County Council leader, Clr. John Davies, has announced changes to the deputy structure of the cabinet following the acceptance of Clr. Anne Hughes's resignation for personal reasons.

Her replacement, who will progress the agenda of social well-being, is Clr. Huw George, who represents the Maenclochog Electoral Division. Said Clr. Davies: "It is with regret and reluctance I have to accept Clr. Hughes's resignation as a deputy member of the cabinet. Anne has in her short period of office contributed much to the growing challenges of social justice issues within our county. "I have no doubt she will continue to contribute positively to the work of this council as an elected member."

Welcoming Clr. George to his new role, Clr. Davies said: "Clr. George's background as a minister of religion, and his reputation of working with young people in various parts of the county, places him in good stead to continue this important role within the council."
