CONGRATULATIONS to Tommy-Ray D'Ortez who recently graduated from Trinity University College with a BA double honours in outdoor education and sports science.

Also, congratulations in receiving the award of certificate of head boy representative for his year.

Tommy attended Penally VC School and Greenhill School, Tenby.

He is the middle son of Bill and Nan Dowell, of Penally, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. R. D'Ortez, of Kilgetty.

Congratulations to Thomas Edwards who has graduated from Swansea University receiving a master of engineering (MEng Hons) first class honours degree in civil engineering.

Thomas was also awarded the Hays Award for the best dissertation in the civil engineering department.

A former pupil of Tenby Junior School and Greenhill School, Tenby, Thomas is the eldest son of Amanda and Arnold Edwards, brother of William, and the grandson of Joan and Harvey Luke.

Thomas will take up the position of graduate civil engineer with Arup International Consulting Engineers in Cardiff in September.

CONGRATULATIONS to Dawn James, of Jeffreyston, who has just completed her professional nursing degree from the University of Glamorgan, through Pembrokeshire College.

Dawn, who originally hails from Lancashire, works at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.

CONGRATULATIONS to Rhodri Armour who recently received his PhD from the department of mechanical engineering at the University of Bath.

Rhodri, who was educated at schools in England and Norway, is the son of proud parents Andrew and Janine Armour, of Northcliffe, Tenby, and the grandson of Derrick Hughes, of St. Florence.

During his studies, Rhodri designed and built a jumping, rolling robot,'Jollbot'. He is currently taking a well-earned rest in Vancouver, Canada.

CONGRATULATIONS to Zara-Louise Appleby-Jones, who recently received a BA hons in English at Trinity University, Carmarthen.

Zara-Louise, a former pupil of Saundersfoot School and Greenhill School, is the daughter of Stephen and Kim Appleby-Jones, of Stepaside, and the sister of Ursula and Imogen.
