As were the previous few Sundays, last Sunday the weather was not encouraging for the elderly to venture out. Despite this, a few visitors, staying in Tenby over the weekend, attended church. After the welcome and family news given by Mr. Billy Evans, the stirring chorus 'Jesus we celebrate your victory' was sung with gusto, which set the theme for the worship. The worship leader, Mr. Kevin Adams, chose the songs for this service. The Junior Lightseekers Sunday Club enjoyed a separate time together under the leadership of Mrs. Rhonwyn Evans and Mrs. Jackie Emlyn. Mrs. Phyllis Duffett led the prayer time and in her introduction reminded of the centrality of Christian love in our lives. The guest speaker, Mr. Ken Wilson from Fishguard, gave a thought-provoking sermon on the meaning of the phrase 'Fellowship of the Holy Spirit'. Fellowship is partnership. As Christians, partners together, and with the Holy Spirit we are to encourage one another, and as followers of Christ to share our knowledge of Him. We can do this because each member of His church has received the gift of the Holy Spirit. We are a varied workforce and each is to use our own different, God given, gifts in Christian service. It is hoped the Parent Toddler Group will meet on Thursday morning, but because of uncertainty regarding the repair of the heating system, please ring 01834 843530.
