Mrs. Jeanne Grimes welcomed everyone on entering the church. Master Philip Evans lit the third candle in the Advent wreath which reminded us that the coming Jesus brings joy. The worship songs chosen by Miss Sue Lawson also reflected this Advent season. The Junior Lightseekers Sunday Club prepared for the coming candlelight service. Prayers were introduced by Mrs. Nan Dowell.  Mr. Gerald Duffett preached the sermon and reminded us of the meaning of Christmas using some illustrations from the Old Testament, where it was the remit of God to take blessings from one and give to another. The blessings as a result of the coming of Jesus can be transferred to all of us through God's mercy and grace. The annual candlelight service will be held on Sunday, December 23, at 6 pm.
