The visiting preacher for Sunday was the Rev. Paul Cook, who was accompanied by his wife, from Birmingham. The steward at the door was Mr. Gary Emlyn and the church notices were given by the church secretary. Mrs Sally Lloyd arranged the worship, the open prayer time was led by Mr. Gary Emlyn. Mrs. Sharon Hardwick and Mrs. Rhonwin Evans were the leaders of The Junior Lightseekers Club. Rev. Cook read the familiar story from the book of Jeremiah concerning his visit to a pottery. Here God showed him, through the work of the potter, the manner in which God deals with the character of a person to make them pleasing to their Maker. Pastor Cook emphasised the need to listen to what God says in the Bible, to put God in the centre of our lives and there is always a second chance to rebuild a flawed nature, just as the potter in the story reconstructed his first flawed pot.
