Members and regular visitors to the church were welcomed by Mrs. Jackie Emlyn. The service was introduced by Mrs. Jeanne Grimes, who mentioned her recent trip to Europe and compared some aspects of it with her Christian faith and what Sunday worship was all about. Miss Sue Lordan chose the items and led the worship time. This was followed by a time of open prayer when people who are suffering, both in our own locality and worldwide, were remembered. The sermon was given by a visiting speaker, Rev. James McIntosh, from Scotland, who was visiting the church with his wife and young son. He chose encouraging words from the Revelation of St. John, describing his vision of heaven, pointing out that this should be a spur to Christians when they face difficult situations in their everyday living.
