Despite the hot summer day, many visitors and their children joined us for worship. They were welcomed by Mrs. Joyce Owen at the door. Also present were members of the Open Air Mission team who are holding events on the South Beach this week and next. The worship time was led by Mr. Keith Evans on the keyboard and organ. Prayers, both silent and verbal, were shared by the many friends in the service, being introduced by Mr. Gary Emlyn. Mr. Colin Joy from Narberth was the guest speaker and he reminded his listeners that the evidence that a person is a Christian will be shown by the 'Christian Walk' not 'Christian Talk'. He developed this theme by commenting on the 'fruit of the spirit', ending with the words of Jesus found in Johns Gospel 15 verse 8 'that you bear much fruit showing yourselves to be my disciples'. The table top sale, with proceeds to go to an orphanage in Uganda and Tear Fund, continues every Thursday morning, 10 am until 1 pm, for the remainder of the school holidays, in the church hall.
