Worshippers were welcomed by Mrs. Joyce Owen and included several visitors from different areas of the British Isles. Mr. Chris Llewellyn introduced the service. The music group accompanied the worship. Prayer time was led by Mrs. Eiron Kinnard.
Chris continued his series of addresses on Daniel, the reading being taken from chapter three, this being read by Mr. Bryn Rees and Mrs. Jan Llewellyn.
The chapter contains the well known story of Daniel and his friends being put into a red hot furnace and yet coming out alive, having been protected by God.
Chris observed that the lesson for the Christian and the church today from this story was, first, that God doesn't take trials and difficulties away from us, but He is with us in them and, secondly, not to compromise our beliefs, but stand firm to the gospel teaching found in the Bible.
There will be Bible study on Tuesday, and parent toddlers will meet on Thursday as usual.
