The Whit holiday weekend and the glorious fine weather brought several visitors to church and among them was a group from the Christian Hikers Association who were visiting the area. These and others were welcomed by Mrs. Carol Ansell.

Mr. Bryn Rees introduced the service, while the music group accompanied the worship. Situations both locally and worldwide were items mentioned during the open prayer time.

Mr. Jeff Morgan from Broad Haven was the visiting preacher; he took as his Bible reading the incident in Mark's gospel when Jesus calms the storm when he and the disciples were crossing the Sea of Galilee.

Jeff commented that the miracles of Jesus, despite many being recorded in the Bible, cause some problems for followers of Christ, yet in this story and several others in the adjacent chapters, Mark points out that Jesus was teaching his disciples that they also could carry out God's purposes, just as Jesus was doing. Jeff encouraged his listeners to follow the example of the disciples.

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday and all churches in the town will be (DV) taking part in a Pentecost Praise at the harbour at 3 pm.

There will be no Bible study on Tuesday, because of a meeting for church members. Parent toddlers will meet on Thursday as usual.
