Mrs. Scilla Howard welcomed visitors and friends on entering the church. Mr. Chris Llewellyn introduced the service and the church family news was expressed by Mrs. Eirion Kinnard. The music accompanists for the worship, were Jan Llewellyn, Tessa Ovenden, Barbara Willcox, and Frank Howard, while Pam Holmes helped with leading the singing.
After the worship time, there was a time of prayer. The reading and the sermon were based on the birth of Abraham's son Ishmael by his wife's maidservant Hagar. Chris drew a parallel between this story and the mistakes in life, that even the most God-fearing person can do. God in his mercy will forgive the mistakes, but often the person may have to live with the consequences.
Two young people from Junior Church then shared what they had learnt in their lessons and worship time ended with the remembrance of the Lord's death in the communion service.
Bible study groups meet on Tuesdays and the parent toddlers group meets as usual on Thursday mornings in the Church Hall. For further information, please ring 843392.
