It being St. David's Day, the church hall was tastefully decorated with daffodils and many of the songs sung during the service either had a Welsh tune or words composed by a Welshman.

Mrs. Jeanne Grimes welcomed the friends and visitors and Mrs. Phyllis Duffett introduced the service and led the prayer time. Mrs. Ann Pattenden was the accompanist.

The preacher was Mr. Michael Jones, who read selective verses from the first chapter of the book of Genesis. He based his sermon on the first words found in Genesis, 'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.'

Michael emphasised that God was not only the creator of the natural world in the past, but is the creator and sustainer of the spiritual nature of the Christian believer in the present age. The future has also been planned by Him.

Parent toddlers meet as usual on Thursday mornings at 10 am in the Church Hall.
