Mrs. Scilla Howard welcomed visitors and friends on entering the church. Mr. Chris Llewellyn introduced the service and the church family news was expressed by Mr. Bryn Rees.
The music accompanists for the worship were Jan Llewellyn, Tessa Ovenden, Barbara Willcox, and Frank Howard; Pam Holmes helped with leading the singing.
After the worship time, all took part in the communion service, which was followed by a time of prayer.
The reading and the sermon were based on the call of the Old Testament Patriarch, Abraham. Chris drew parallels between the following by Abraham of God's call and that of Christians who are called to follow Jesus. Abraham didn't have an easy life as he was called to 'bless others', so too the Christian life is demanding as we are called to serve others. Faith in God's purposes often involves waiting, as well as faith.
The parent toddlers group meets as usual on Thursday mornings in the Church Hall.
