Mr. Gerald Duffett greeted friends on entering the church hall. Mr. Bryn Rees introduced the service, while music accompanists for the worship,were Ann, Barbara, Pam, Tessa and Frank The situations in the Middle East, and the team visiting the orphanage in Uganda, were uppermost on people's minds during the prayer time.
Mr. Andrew Stammers from Broadhaven, a member of the local Baptist Preachers team, continued the theme of the sermons on Journeys, linking his thoughts to the life of John the Baptist, who heralded in the Kingdom of God.
Andrew contrasted the idea of Kingdom to the Jew with those of our present day. Jesus came to proclaim a spiritual kingdom which is open to everyone. Christians are encouraged to be ambassadors for the kingdom by their life style as well as their verbal commitments.
