Mr. Gerald Duffett introduced the service. The sung worship time was led by Ann Pattenden, Nan Dowell, Tessa Ovenden, Barbara Willcox and Frank Howard. Their choice of songs was much appreciated by worshippers present.

The situations in the Middle East and the direction in which the lives of individual Christians and churches should take during the coming New Year were items expressed in the prayer time.

Mrs. Mary Campbell, a member of the local Baptist Preachers Team, took as her theme for the sermon, the story from the Old Testament book of Numbers where men (spies) from the Israelites came back with their report concerning the 'land flowing with milk and honey.' Caleb and Joshua were in favour of entering the area, the others were not. The majority had left God out of the situation, Caleb and Joshua emphasised that when God is in charge then changes, coemphasised and faith are involved when following His directions. These precepts are worth following today in the lives of individual Christians as well as a church.

This coming Sunday evening, there is a combined service of churches in Tenby at 6 pm in St. Johns Church when the preacher will be the Bishop of St. David's.
