Owing to it being Remembrance Sunday, we met one hour earlier than usual because several wished to stand outdoors to be silent at the Tenby War Memorial. Despite the stormy weather and early start, we nearly ran out of service leaflets!

Phyllis Duffett welcomed everyone at the back door of our Church Hall where we met for worship. The chairs were set in groups around small tables, like in a café.

Gerald Duffett gave out Family News, including information about weekly meetings.

The carefully selected worship hymns and songs were played by the Music Group, with Nancy at the keyboard, Tessa on the flute, Barbara on the clarinet and Frank on the bongos.

Helen Hills, read Psalm 140. Later, Helen read another moving poem, as well as the reason for the white poppy, which is not intended to displace the red poppy, and led the time of Open Prayer, culminating in the Lord's Prayer.

Leading up to the standing for the period of silence, David Kinnard presented a time of contemplation and, after the closing hymn, he gave the Benediction and we all shared the Grace.

Refreshments were served after the service, giving people the opportunity to chat informally.

During school term time, the Parent-Toddler Group meets in the Church Hall each Thursday between 10 am and noon. Also, the Prayer and Bible Study Meeting is held weekly each Tuesday starting at 7.30 pm.

The speaker this Sunday is Mr. Gerald Tait, who is a representative of the organisation that places Gideon Bibles in public places.
