Mrs. Joyce Owen welcomed friends on entering the church. After the family news in which we were reminded that this Sunday was Bible Sunday, Mr. Chris Llewellyn, accompanied by the worship group of Barbara, Tessa and Jan, guided the worship.
Mr. Bryn Rees led the prayer time. Chris gave the sermon, choosing the story from Genesis 22 when Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice his son Isaac.
Using an effective audio-visual aid presentation, focusing on verse 8 'God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering', he reminded us of the sacrifice of Jesus 'God's Son on the cross for our salvation' and in view of God's love for us, this love is to be reflected in the lives we live as Christians.
The parent toddler group will meet next Thursday in the church hall after a welcome half-term holiday.
