Mr. Gerald Duffett gave the family notices to a congregation who were enjoying the walk to church in fine sunshine. Mrs. Joyce Owen had welcomed them on entering the church. The worship was led by the music group, Barbara, Nan, Tessa, Alan and Frank.
After the worship time, Alan Joy, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Navin Harman, was dedicated. He seemed to appreciate the event by the broad smile on his young face.
The open prayer time was led by Gerald, which included prayers for the fire victims in Pakistan, as well as the needs of young people in our own land.
The sermon and reading were given by Mr. Michael Jones. Michael spoke on the 'Love of God', basing his thoughts on words found in the Epistle of John 1, chapter 4. John mentions the sacrificial love of God in action, together with unimaginable dimensions of this love directed to mankind. This capacity for love has been given to all Christians and it is their responsibility to reflect this in their daily living.
The parent toddler group meets on Thursday mornings. Sunday week will be Harvest Sunday and a Harvest Supper is to be held on the following Tuesday.
