The sun and a warm welcome from Mrs. Joyce Owen greeted friends and visitors on entering the church. The family news was given by Mr. Gerald Duffett, who also led the open prayer time. The worship group, Barbara, Nan, Pam and Alan, enthusiastically led the congregation in praise.
The guest preacher was Mr. Mike Jones, who based his sermon on familiar words found in Isaiah were he describes his experience when he was worshipping God in the temple, in a time of uncertainty for his nation. He realised the holiness of God, and his own sin which led to forgiveness and a new commitment to His service for God. Mr. Jones also commented on the love of God in Jesus Christ and His death on the Cross which leads to forgiveness of our sin and a changed life of service for God.
