Bright warm sunshine was an extra encouragement to the celebration of Pentecost which was the theme of Sunday's service. Mr. Bryn Rees welcomed people on entering the church and the introductory section of the service was led by Mrs. Helen Hills. The songs and music were in the capable hands of Nan, Mrs. Tessa Ovenden, Miss Barbara Willcox, and Alan Hunter on the guitar. During the prayer time, also led by Helen, the situation in Burma was uppermost in many people's thoughts. The Junior Church met with Mrs. Nan Dowell as leader. Mr. Garry Emlyn, in his sermon, which was based on the call of Moses, found in Exodus chapter 13, emphasised that God would be with Moses, despite the fact he had no confidence in himself to carry out God's purpose. This also was part of the message of Pentecost; God's Holy Spirit is present to give strength and wisdom with everyone who is willing to follow God's calling, however difficult.
