The welcome and family news was given by Mrs. Helen Hills. Afterwards, the Junior Lightseekers Sunday Club and others introduced a drama, concerning Fairtrade, and linked this with the initiative 'Not for Sale Sunday' which endeavours to alert churches to sex trafficking across Europe. The worship was led by Miss Sue Lordan and the prayers by Mrs. Sharron Hardwick. Mr. Gary Emlyn, one of the members, preached the sermon. His address was based on the words of Jesus, 'No-one sews a patch on shrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment making the tear worse'. The incident recorded in Acts of the conversion of the Philippian jailer.  Members were reminded that Christians are 'clothed with the robe of righteousness' by believing in Christ. Our lives are often distorted by 'excess baggage' which are often attitudes imposed upon us by selfish worldly desires rather than the will of God.
