Friends were welcomed by the door steward, Mrs. Jean Grimes, while the notices and church news were announced by Mrs. Carol Ansell. The young people from the Junior Lightseekers Club joined the congregation for most of the worship time, which included a song they had requested which was sung during the recent Pyramid Rock Holiday Club. The Lord's Supper was celebrated and the Pastor based his address on Forgiveness, using the parable of the Unmerciful Servant found in Mathew's Gospel. God has forgiven our sins, therefore we as Christ's children are to be 'forgiven forgivers'. Some illustrations from the Bible as examples of forgivers were Joseph towards his brothers, and Stephen towards those who stoned him to death. It is a fact of life we will be hurt in this world, but the way of forgiveness brings freedom.
