LOCAL singer Jackie Rodda is about to release her first album, 'Adonai! Master of my Hope.' The launch on Monday will be an exciting event, reflecting the album's international influence from the outset of the presentation.
'Adonai! Master of my Hope' will be launched at the New Hedges Village Hall on Monday, November 24, from 7.30 pm (doors open at 7 pm for those who want to get a seat for the event).
There will be live worship led by a group of accomplished musicians who have come together from across West Wales for the very first time especially for this event. During the evening, Jackie and the group will perform two songs from the CD.
Not wanting to benefit personally from the sale of the album, Jackie has arranged that all the profits will go to support Christian work helping prisoners and families in Pakistan.
Special guests, Release International representatives Anthony Hall and Imtiaz Ashraf will be taking part in the event.
Jackie said "Recording my own CD was something that I had wanted to do for over 30 years. Prompted by various people asking, "Did I have a CD recorded?' this year I decided to do something about it."
Featuring two original songs written especially for 'Adonai! Master of my Hope,' as well as a selection of the most inspiring praise and worship songs, this 12-track CD will prove to be very popular. Only 250 have been made, and these will be available for purchase on the night.
All the recordings were made and mastered in Pembrokeshire using digital multi-track techniques. The artwork was also designed inhouse, and then everything was sent to Biograph Media for a totally professional production.
The producers are grateful to Modern Print, Pembroke Dock, for the giant display posters that will adorn the hall on the night.
There will be no entry charge for the launch event; light refreshments will be served at the end of the evening. For further information about the CD or this event, please contact Paddy on 01646 681805.
